My kiddos and I recently returned from a much needed vacation. As usual, for me, it was a working vacation.

We had a GREAT time! I sluffed off and put a large portion of my "work" on a back burner, determined to kick up my heels to entertain my kiddos.

If success were measured in smiles ... well ... I have the happiest kiddos in the universe!!

We played at NASA, moo-ed at space cows, swam, "jumped waves", and "body surfed" in the Gulf of Mexico, teased the sea gulls, found "sea shells", watched "Elvis" lip sync and swivel his hips, checked out the actual Star Wars Clone Wars movie props, enjoyed the Rainforest Cafe', "stuffed" and adopted "bears" (a tiger and a snow leopard) ate half a volcano (a decadent dessert), celebrated an 11 yr old birthday, threw pizza dough at each other like frisbees (inside a fantastic restaurant), the 3 of us ate enough delicious food to feed 8 people (does everyone do that on vacation?) ...

... then we "hit the wall", the rock wall that is ...

My kiddos should know me well enough by now ... "I'll do it if you will, mom."

... I hold them to it!! I usually make them go first!!

My 11 yr old made it 1/3 of the way up, the 9 yr old climbed 2/3's, ... I made it to the top ... did anyone expect any less?? NO ... it wasn't easy ... Plttttttt!!

Between us we took over 700 pictures in 6 days, with 3 cameras ...

Everywhere we went, except playing at NASA, was a "First" for my kiddos ...

*patting self on back* I did good!!

Fairie Tale Princess taking a bow!! (Honest ... they're highlights not gray streaks, a dear friend swears it's so)
