As I grow older, I notice how beautiful older people stay. Beauty doesn't cease at 30 or whenever Hugh Hefner decides. In fact, Seniors add "character" to their original beauty.
In 1958, while a student at the Art Students League of NY, we'd wander into others' studios to see what their models looked like. The Master's Group one day had a 60 yo woman w/white hair, beautiful face and figure, and pearly skin. She was a Beauty! And that changed a 21 yo's attitudes.
Several of the models in life groups here are in their 60s, one high 60s. They are pretty, still shapely, and very paintable. OK, so gravity is winning as we age, but So What? Pregnant and older women remain beautiful.
Do we think of ourselves as DeKooning's "Marilyn Monroe"? Don't! Look at Robens' paintings. He painted lovely, sensuous, and voluptuous nudes, including his wife and sister-in-law.
So let's start upsetting the status quo and changing the art scene's narrow-mindedness.

In fact, I was part of a local "calendar girls" project here in NC to raise money for an animal welfare group...we posed with our critters! The oldest was a fiesty lady in her 80s! We had a pro photog who was great.. I volunteered to be the first model for him, as I was more comfortable doing the project than any of the others, and was able to reassure them about his professional demeanor.
When I get to Maine (hopefully later this spring!) I would be willing to sit for you if you would be interested... or to model for a college art class if you know of one. But I might take photos of y'all drawing or painting me!
