The young ladies (ages 13-15) took the summer softball championship for our area! Wednesday night, mercied the Holt team 13 - 0; Thursday night the first part of the championship double header took Charlotte 2-1 and the second part took Okemos 7-6!
They were so excited and happy! And the 2 nights that they played the temperatures were in 80's and 90's and those young girls perservered. My granddaughter Ashlyn played the best she has ever played. She is their star first baseman (also great at pitching and catching and guarding 3rd base). The pitchers, catcher Erik and the rest of the team are like one very fine oiled machine.
After the game, they ran the bases, cheered, and dumped their water bottles on their coach! He ran but they still got him pretty good!
