Jeeez, is it really 2008 already ??
I keep thinking it's 2007, at least that's how i've been dating my checks, lol. Nobody's said anything about that yet.
Sooo, i took my happy butt down to the Drivers License station to get me a new one. Had my old picture ID card with me, the one from FL, and my SS card of course. Also had three pieces of official type mail, to prove my current address.
I'm not happy anymore :( still got my humor though.
Found out that nowadays, one also has to have a CERTIFIED copy of their birth certificate. When did that start happening ?? Never ran into that problem before, except when filing for my SSDI. I had a copy in my legal papers, but it didn't count, because it wasn't
"certified."
I tried through a homeless help agency to get one way back in February. But, the lady told me i had to know WHICH hospital i was born in. ALL i know is, i was born in Chicago, lol, at least that's what i've been told.
So being my usual procrastinating self, i let it slip by.
Till now that is. Now i need an up-to-date picture ID, as i'll be traveling cross-country, by bus, and plane, in a little over a week.
Make that HOPE to be traveling, that is. The tickets have been purchased online, already. So when i get to the bus stations, and airports, i'll certainly need that picture ID. There'll be a lot of unnecessary added costs, if i have to change dates and times, due to all of this.
I know, i know, it's all my fault, always is, lol.
Procrastination is soooo much a part of me tho, i don't see that really changing anytime soon.
I did order my birth certificate online early, early, this morning tho, so hopefully i have a chance to get it by then. I paid 40 dollars extra for a rush job on it.
Wish me luck...PLEASE !!!!!! I'm a gonna really need it.
