First I would downsize all area that are unnecessary. Too many favoritism and nepotism jobs given out after every election. Thats called Bribary... I would beef up the Police and Fire Depts. Emergency Mangmt groups, bolster Seniors care on a state level. I would Confiscate and Tear down slums, make landlords fix properties or pay a fine and a levy, that would bring in money. Take a good look at the Teachers Contract and if they don't comply, fire the whole lot and start anew. They have damaged this state for so long. Who gets 4% interest rate for life, total medical insurance for life, can't be fired ever for life, unless a proven crimminal record is had, get a 6% pay raise just about every year, and only work 181 days a year and get to walk out if they don't get it? Pay nurses more they work 365 almost..
Fix the roads, penalize polluters, change the welfare system to products, canned or fresh goods but not money for fingernails, rental cars and any luxury items they want. Protective child services I would improve and be sure they investigate all cases, and that means come in or go there to see the total family in its surroundings. If more help is needed then so be it.
Make some things mandatory in school like morals, and values, and respect, and uniforms. ( I was in Jamaica) and all the kids, private or in public schools wore uniforms. Then you know who the crimminals are....
Sports can go just so far and it already has if our kids can't read or write, whose fault is it? Make this state green again, and if they buy up farm land and turn it into concrete, then get them to pay for all of the water/sewer connections, irrigation, street roads in the area, and keep it maintained. They will make a pretty penny and we lost farm land for greed. Get my hand out of all the lobbyists pockets. Ban abortion. Make all children be tested for TB, small pox and other communicable disease. Check for green cards from every employer who hires immigrants, if they are legal no problem, but if they are not, bye bye. Be sure to get a copy of it. Get the gun and drug dealers off the street. No bail/parole if you are caught with it in your possession.. and if you do the crime, you do the time , ENFORCE THE LAWS on the books. Take the money confiscated from drug deals, cars, homes and pay off some of the state debt with it. Anything else you want to know? Tell me what you could do?

I know I would do what I promised. No right hand pats the other hand here. AND TERM LIMITS FOR all POLITICIANS.
