7 months... 7 months without a voice... without a venue, a show... peeplz to entertain... 7 months of doctors sayin' you will never speak the same or ever sing again... 6 months, they prepare to send me to Mass General for vocal nerve surgury... and in the same month I awake... to make an effort to get the dog to stop lickin' itself... over 6 months and then I hear me... speaking... to the dog... and she is more surprized I think than I am that I am speaking!!! slow recovery... 30 days more pass.... 24 day's into it and with a voice, I sing with a friends band for just a few songs... Upper register is still slow to return... 30 day's I sing with another friend and do a full set... Upper is still lite but everythAng else has returned.... now for the test of duration... I begin to re~establish the musicians that I perform with... I begin to re~connect and look for bookings... several offers appear for late September... another in a few weeks as a guest vocalist... soon I will be 100% and back doing what I do... what I love... with the people that stood beside me and said the doctors would be proved wrong... Another chance, to perform~ to entertain... A~nut'a chance.
