Do you all remember when John McCain ran last time. He was left of center for a Republican. A fiscal conservative, with a different sense of social equality and a verbal, bold dislike of certain religious factions that were controlling the post Regan Era Republican Party.
I remember. Because that man had me salivating. I was so excited. I would have at that time volunteered for his campaign had there been something local.
Then at some point he ended up in Virginia and he lambasted the Religious Reich. And suddenly, *poof* McCain just disappeared.
We didnt even hear him hit the bottom of the well. It was like the Mother Ship and had come and carried him away, he was gone so fast. Not so much as a white robe or a tennis shoe remained.
But he didnt disappear from government. He was still working as a Senator from Arizona. I remember watching him grill Air Force officials about the Air Force Academy Rape Scandal and he was beautiful to behold. I could smell the burning brass through my television set. He wasnt amused and he meant that as the *royal WE. I had never seen a male, esp a Male Vet go after high ranking brass over women before. He was terrifyingly glorious.
So when he said he was running again, I got all excited. But then he got into bed with the Reich, and well I lost interest. It was like meeting a blind date who decided Stink bait made good cologne. To me it was just like, "You can just sit over there and I will pretend I never thought you were cute you traitorous bastard."
I was mad at him because he was a spoiler. He only entered the race to split the ticket to the degree that Shrubya could win with a minority. Talking about whoring yourself out, but hey it takes all kinds right?
So now here I am, during this historic election. My favored candidate Hillary Clinton lost to Mc--er-um, Obama, who allegedly held similar positions--planks in his platform.
The other side made like they didnt want to run against Clinton, that they couldnt beat her in a popularity contest. Because they couldnt cinch the female vote with the abortion/Birth Control issues hanging in the way. No self respecting women who calls herself an "Independent" wants to vote for a candidate who cant trust her with a loaded uterus.
But what if this was ye old bait and switch. What if the whole plan was to get Obama in there and Clinton Out, and then have him throw the game at the last minute with election night poison pills that would split the ticket--once again, to such a degree, that McCain could win without a majority?
It was clear that McCain pulled out after some promise making in some backroom somewhere. Its all been so pat. So is this just more of the same?
The real, authentic candidate has been thrown over, for a candidate who had no intention of winning *THIS TIME?
I have seen some sneaky stuff, so it wouldnt surprise me. And quite honestly, its the only logic I can find to explain his sudden change on these Key Issues framed his campaign in the beginning.
If only Colin Powell would have run.
Is Obama a Spoiler?

TOTALLY RIDICULOUS...ALL POLITICIANS ARE CREATURES OF EXPEDIENCY...THEY'LL SAY THE THINGS THEY BELIEVE WILL GET THEM ELECTED. CLINTON INCLUDED. AS THE POLITICAL CLIMATE CHANGES THEY DO ALSO. IF YOU SERIOUSLY BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE HILLARY HAS A UTERUS (AS I ASSUME YOU MUST) THAT SHE'D MAKE A BETTER LEADER THAN SOMEONE WITH DIFFERING EQUIPMENT, THEN YOU'RE AS SEXUALLY BIASED AS ANY OLD WASP. GET A CLUE...VOTE YOUR BELIEFS...NOT SOME POSTULATING POLITICIAN...KEITH

What is it that my grandpa used to say??? Oh yes in polite company do not discuss religion or politics, but hey why not??? Ok I will bite. But if you do not agree please just read on.
I will not be voting for Obama this year, because #1 he is the old switch and bait himself. One of those guys who says all the right things and has no intention of keeping his promises. And of course I would never vote for Hillary Clinton, because I think that women deserve a better role model than her. She is a wimp that keeps her husband, well technically she keeps him, but who knows where he is sleeping tonight. I am a long married woman and would not for a minute keep my husband if he ever touched anyone other than me. He can look cause Lord knows he only married me, he did not die. But to tell the public that your husband has an illness?? Sure what do they call it, the cant keep in your pants syndrome??? I mean that is as bad as telling your wife that it was an accident and you just fell and your weenie went inside of her and you just could not, yep that is it, you could not control yourself.
I will be voting for McCain because one he is a veteran, which means he does have some guts, he also is a nice white man, not that color makes that much difference to this Native American woman. With the way the world is today with a terrorist on every corner of the planet we do need to keep someone in the white house that knows how to order a war. Contrary to popular belief, we can not change the way the world is and if we the only super power that is left stop going to all the wars then we will be speaking Chinese or some other foreign language very soon. And I do not have the Rosetta stone program yet.
I know there are many in this country that do not think we need to be in any wars, but if we are not there then who is going to defend freedom?? Who is going to abolish the terrorists that are trying to kill any American they find, whether you want to fight or not. I am too old to become a citizen of another country and wear a black veil on my head. And have you ever smelled a camel??? Holy ulk!!!

You assume a lot. I wanted to vote for Clinton because I liked her stance on Healthcare reform and Women's rights. If she had been a man, with those same planks in her platform, I would have voted for that Clinton as well.
Yes, Politicians will bend with the wind, BUT {huge But here} To go 180 degrees in the opposite direction in the middle of a contentious campaign??
Why?
How will that get Obama Elected? It wont. It will split the Democratic ticket--meaning no contest for the other guy McCain-who can win without winning the popular vote or the majority of delegates from the Electoral College.
Please let me know if I am getting too complicated with my uterine wisdom here. I will try and dumb it down for those who didnt pay attention in Amercian Govt class in Highschool.
I know its hard for dyed in the wool Clinton haters to understand how anyone could want to vote for a Clinton on purpose that doesnt stink of sulphur or have a cloven hoof, but truth be told, I often wonder the same thing about people who like Bush or actually believed that Reagan crapped gold and smelled like roses. So all things being equal, the question still stands:
Is Obama a Spoiler?
If he isnt, he should shape up soon, because the stink of it is already on him as far as those left of center are concerned.
So instead of obsessing on my plumbing, perhaps you can logically consider the notion that I have put on this blog.
Because truth be told, if I have to choose between McCain and Obama, as Clone candidates, I will go for the one with military experience. Obama has to win me over by being a whole other animal. Otherwise I truly will not trust his experience at all in that respect.
If he cant stick to his own guns, then why would I trust him with this nation's Big Guns?

How literally, A...B...C...'S does an educated opinion have to be expressed for someone NOT to take the verbage so f___ing to heart????? what I dont get, is why Keith is bitching. Here Clinton is out of the picture. All I have to choose from are Men. So what is the problem again? By his account the ability to screw it up with estrogen has been removed. Can I write in a candidate on a maxi pad and put that in the ballot box? IF it has a string, will that count as a dangling chad?
So ???
I cannot believe that Mel hasnt Chimed in.

Your wit, intellect and social conscience are as a Gale Force Wind that we would all do well to heed. There are many wise voices here, there is also much PULP !!!!
I say YES, resoundingly, that a string, EVERY STRING must be counted and if they should dangle, there should be a recount. Just don't let it happen in Fla. or Oh. I must hang up now, lest you be accused of further undoing the stichery I am trying so very hard to keep in place. You make me think till it hurts and laugh till I cry. Thank the Gods that be, for the thinkers like you. Peace, L

Back in the early days of this election when there were several candidates of both parties to choose from, I took one of those surveys that ranked the field according to my specific concern levels. Clinton was #1, Obama about #8, and McCain so far down the list you needed binoculars to see him. Now I have a "choice" to make in Novemeber. If I were a hiring manager and these were my only applicants ..... I'd repost the job with a new employment agency.

McCain has been to the top of the mountain as a rich man and one with Military experience. His wisdom will lead us in the right direction. The other guy is an experienced observer of poverty and will try hard to make America a better place to live in for the downtrodden. I will go with the rich ex-soldier.

You guys never disappointment with your array of observations. When someone changes colors the way McCain did, and the way Obama appears to be doing, then I have to wonder where they really stand.

Tis very cool to see catwhiskers back on the roll again. Hope your doing better soon, I have missed you too. I just can not figure out what the big deal is with that Keith guy, he does not even seem to have a real valid point, except maybe to disrupt the thinking of women. Alas, I do not think that he has enough grain in the mill to do any harm, but just in case, blip he is banned no voting for you Charlie.
