Do not blame the oil companies for the high prices of gasoline, their profit margins are the usual margins of most enterprises, about nine cents for every dollar they earn for their effort to explore, drill, pump, delivering, refining and transporting the gasoline to your local gas station.
Some of the high cost of gas is due to the devaluation of the dollar. The devaluation comes from over-printing money as it is quite clear that the more money that is made out of thin air, the less it is worth.
The first priority is to start working the coal fields of America. Coal can be transformed into gasoline and we have enough coal to last us 200 years at the current rate of consumption. Coal can be transformed into fertilizer for our crops too. Coal is the ticket to our energy independence. By using American coal we will keep our jobs and our money in the United States.
Another priority is to seal the border. Without border security there is no national security. For a change Mr. McCain said something that was on target in his visit to Mexico earlier this week: "Americans want to secure the border first and then do the complicated work necessary to bring about a solution to the problem of the illegal masses in this country".
The other priority, in fact the most important priority is to change the faces of the people "representing us". It is a fact that the politicians we have elected no longer represent us, they represent special foreign interests, special interest groups. They do whatever they want to us because they know that we will keep electing them regardless of what they do. They take us for granted.
We need apples from the tree, not from the barrel, most apples in the barrel are rotten.
The apples on the tree can be found outside the system: The Constitution party and the Libertarian party have people who want to work and represent you in all levels of government, check them out on the web, be a candidate on their ticket.
