I'm taking a break from eons. At this point, I don't think I'll be back but never say never.

I'm a fan of on line communities, but I see the same patterns show up over and over with them. I probably should stick with those that have a single focus, rather than those that try to be all things to all people.

I spend much of my free time with adolescents. Three in particular, many more as it usually turns out because they are like little magnets that attract each other. A lot of that time is spent dealing with adolescent issues, naturally, and because of that I sometimes feel the need to have some "me time" with adults. I get it at work, and when I can squeeze it in with friends.

Perhaps I'm adding to the adolescent behavior here. I'm willing to take my share of the blame. But I'm done with it. I don't like what I see. It started early on with hate messages, but now it seems to be much more blatant and shows up in all places and I don't need it. I don't need to attract it, I don't need to counter it, and I don't need to spend the few hours I have to myself participating in juvenile games. Enough time is spent being the referee in the real world for that kind of thing.
