I know you know what Murphy's Law is...."If something can go wrong, it will."

This little half-a-horse town, I live in...and i can't see any eyes, so you can only imagine which half....years ago decided to install a "secondary water system" with no vote, no in put...just tear up the whole town and run irrigation water in a pipe instead of a ditch and charge us $29 dollars a month for this...As the property owner, I was obligated to connect to their shutoff valve, which was in a box they buried in my front yard...so I did, put together this nice PVC contraption which stood about a foot above the lawn with a faucet for the hose....connected a hose, opened their valve, and BLOOEY....the PVC blue all apart and sent water 30 feet in the air, flooding the neighbors yard. Shut it off...repaired the PVC with even more generous amounts of blue glue....turned it back on...blew all apart again...so I figured I will find some other way...and of course we are not allowed to use culinary water for the yard so the lawn all died.and someone stole my hose..which didn't really matter cause the lawn mower quit working too..

Well TODAY I decided I was gonna fix it, since the neighbor tore up about 80 square feet of lawn and asked if I wanted it...he run it over here on a front loader...laid it out across the weeds and I was gonna water it, and then somewhere down the road get a load of topsoil, fill the gaps between the chunks of grass...NO MORE PVC...went to the hardware store, got all new galvanized pipe and connectors...on hands and knees, head in that hole in the ground rebuilt the thing back to where I have a faucet now about one foot above the weeds....and as far as I know did not even show any "plumbers crack".....so proud of my work I stood back and unrolled the new 75 foot length of hose, connected it, turned on the main water valve to send water surging thru my hose and BLOOEY...the main valve had apparently frozen at some time and now IT blew apart...so....

Well anyway the weeds are healthy, and growing like......well weeds..
