I just got back home from a walk...and just in time. It is pouring out now.

As everything around here gets more than its share of water, And now, only 5 minutes later, the sun is shining and the rain has passed to the east. No rainbow, however...I went out and checked.

Some plants that are loving the dampness are the ferns as you can see in the photo. These healthy plants were in one of the gardens on the tour - and the early evening sunlight just made a beautiful picture.

How privileged we are to have such beauty. And how fortunate that in spite of storms and heavy rain showers we are still OK. The plants shine dewy-wet out my window, the birds begin their vesper song, and another day winds down to a close. No matter how challenging life can be, it is a blessing to have these moments in time, to store away and recall when we need them. And at times, we ALL need them.
