Took my sugar frist thing this morning and yes it was still up. I do not know what I am doing wrong and that could be because my dr. has never told me anything to do. This morning it was 132 with fasting and the only thing I had to eat last night after dinner was a half cup of no sugar added ice cream on a cone which came to a total of 5 grams of sugar. One of these days I will learn what to do and to do it right.
My throat is still hurting alot and still looks infected so if not better by tomorrow I will be calling the dr. as I do NOT want to go to alabama with my throat hurting like this. It is bad enough with the rest of the body hurting all the time I do not want to add to that.
Woke up with that slight headache still there and the neck hurting again. Its alittle stiff feeling so I will do a few exercises for that and see if it will help. I soooo dread that ride to bama, 13 long long hours of riding in the car. Even with breaking it up with staying the night in a hotel still makes for a long ride.
Other than the few things I said earlier I am ok. A little down today for some reason so I am going to have to sit here and count my many blessings.

Okay, be gentle to yourself! You are doing what you are supposed to do: take your fasting blood sugar, then think about what you ate last night that might have affected it! Good job!
Important: please read labels very carefully on "sugar free" foods. What sugar substitute was used? You may have an intolerance to one or more of the sugar subs, so try to keep track of when you feel particularly bad after eating a sugar free food.
Important: sugar is not your enemy! CARBOHYDRATES are your enemy! How many carbs were in that ice cream? How about the cone? Carbs break down in the body to natural sugars like fructose, lactose, etc. If you're not looking at carbs, you're missing an important part of the puzzle.
Not a lecture, my friend! I care about you and want to see you become the master (mistress?) of your diabetes! Rest now, think about what I said later.
