Why?????
Why is it that you start a project, ask for help from your significant other, and the next thing you know they have taken it over? What possesses them to think that you wanted them to do the project for you? If I had wanted you to do it I would have asked, “Honey, would you do this project for me?” But I didn’t did I?!!!! I only asked for your assistance!!!
This happened just today, I’m trying to re-create a gardening design that I saw on HGTV and it involves using wire clothes hangers, small flower pots, and a piece of lattice to create a fence mounted garden. I was going along just fine until my hands got too tired to twist the hangers so my S/O offers to help. Hmmm…ok….I’d never turn down help when I’m smart enough to realize I need it, so I say, “fine”. HUGE MISTAKE!!! He decided to take things over, and then when he totally screwed up one of my hangers says to me, “why don’t you use picture hanging wire?” WHY?…because the design DOES NOT call for that, it uses clothes hangers damnit!
So now I’m sitting here venting, as it’s storming out, and I’ll just wait till he’s not looking and do the thing the way it’s supposed to be done!
Ummm and oh yea…I just figured out the “WHY” of it….because he’s a MAN!…’nuff said.
