I took this beautiful friend to the vet yesterday. 'Came home crying my eyes out.

'Discussion was about "what to expect" the rest of this year, and "when to euthanize," and "Oh, 13 years is pretty amazing for a German Shepherd to last...".

I know the last kindness an owner can do for a dog who is no longer himself is to let him go.

I don't know when that will be. It won't be today.
