In a small Pennsylvania town where life is laid back, the small town officer and his men usually have no more to do than an occasional speeding ticket. But when a couple named Jim & Maggie Taylor(Fiction) call their local police because their six year old Sarah has disappeared, the FBI is called in.
The police are baffled as they try to relate this abduction to the disappearance of three teens recently in their small town. Meanwhile Maggie had been on TV asking the abductor to return her child. Soon after her appearance on TV, Maggie discovers her neighbor is the abductor. Before she can gather evidence and go to the Police, she is kidnapped by a local wacko named Walter Mills who had admired her beauty as she appeared on TV. She is held in a shed by him for five days. It would be the most grueling and exhausting days of her life.
As she outwits and manipulates Walter Mills, she also realizes he is not her childs abductor.
The day Maggie Taylor gets her revenge, which she was not really looking for, was the day she becomes a heroine in not only her home town, but on national TV.
