"When you're afraid, trust in the lord." - My friend...

Life if full of surprises, hopes, dreams, obstacles that you have to overcome. We get older, we get bigger, but for the most part, we are still a bunch of kids running around the playground trying desperately to fit in.
I believe life is precious.
You always want what you can't have, and you dream about things you know will never happen. It's just a part of life.
We all say things that we don't mean, and we lie straight to each other's faces, but somehow, you still allow those type of people into your life.
I think the key to living your life to the fullest is having fun and enjoying the time you are given.
I don't believe in taking anything for granted. I know what the quote "You don't want what you've got until it's gone" feels like. In all honesty, it hurts.
We walk around seeing horrible things happening and we pretend not to care, but in the back of our minds, we want to change things. We all want to make a difference.
I believe everyone was born with a purpose.
You can make the biggest difference by doing the smallest thing.
In life, we imitate the things we see on television or hear on the radio. It's a bad habit, but we all do it. We grow up thinking that's how we should act, that's what we should say. We imitate the good and the bad.
We get so wrapped up in shows that are faker than fake. We want to believe that it's all real. We watch the sappy love stories and we imagine having a love like theirs.
We only believe what we want to hear, and we avoid the truth at all costs.
We all dream of bigger and better places, and we want more and more. But with everything life has to offer, we still mope around and pout because we don't have "enough".
We don't appreciate what we've been given, and we hardly ever say "thank you".
The world can be cruel, and even though it is, we manage.
We think that we know everything in life and have a right to do everything but the thing is that more than likely, we never do.
We have fun and laughs sometimes and yet we hurt on the inside. Some people are good at hiding their emotions. Some people that I know and yet, I might be one of those people too.
Have you ever lived my life? Spent one minute in my shoes? If you haven't then tell me why you judge me the way you do.

I didn't write this. A friend did. I'm sharing it with her permission.
