It's been awhile since I blogged. I decided to work on "Living Giving" for a bit instead of writing about it. I was moved by a recent experience though with many young givers, and thought I would share it since I want others to be able to experience a similar joy---- and besides somebody else wrote about it :-) view link

Hearing the kids talk from their heart about why they want to help other people and animals was very moving. Hearing the research they did with their brains was also inspiring.

Maybe you want to help kids learn about giving by living it, too. Volunteer leaders are encouraged. You could be the first in your state to lead a "Giving Classroom!" And you could hear firsthand the kids talk about their new found causes

You just need to be a karmic matchmaker.... Find a teacher (Or student teacher) who wants to teach giving integrated into other subjects and a donor angel (it could be a service club like Rotary, a company or an individual.) Sometimes the school kids raise the money themselves. Third graders at Wonderland Elementary will have a lemonade stand in a week. Last year they raised over $1,200 that way and the used their Giving Certificates to help many good causes.

If this appeals to you-- there's more info at www.charitableliteracy.org or 800-854-5601

However YOU are "Living Giving" I hope you are enjoying it !
