my name and four shells
I'm supposed to get hooked to broadband tomorrow, and I still don't have my modem. I'm starting to get worried though I won't be able to do any connecting until this evening. The mails or UPS or whatever or however they deliver this thing, may be slower than the phone ompany. I don't really believe this, but you neverknow with these things. That means I may not have Second Life at the house yet.

Yahoo is giving grief tonight, so the Sneezeweed Chronicles transcribe is sitting in limbo. I'll try again on my lunch break tomorrow if it doesn't appear by then.

I also downloaded and set up Blender tonight to make sculpted prims for Second Life, but it has a steep learning curve, and right now I have writing to do. Normally, all these snafus would faze me, but I'm in an unshakeably decent mood tonight. I think the lovely warm weather today. I did some walking after work. I walked up Memorial College to Northern and then caught the 122 bus so I ended up walking home from the Avondale station. I went home by a slightly different route
so I got so see some stuff I don't normally see, including two lovely cats, a matched pair male and female like my own and both friendly. They came right up meowed to me and nuzzled me. I like petting other people's cats. There, I confess it.

I got home tonight and made cole slaw for The Open Door. I get to deliver the slaw tomorrow morning. I also made happy greens. Do you know that kale keeps for more than a week in the fridge? I know that now. I seasoned this batch of happy greens with Szechuan seasoning.

I wanted to go out banking. I have both a tax refund and a stimulus check in need of depositing, but about seven o'clock (Yes I was lucky that I made it in before all of this happened) I heard the tornado siren. I eventually checked the National Weather Service page for Decatur and sure enough DeKalb County, Georgia was under a tornado warning. I was just lucky. There is no where really good in my apartment to take shelter. Every room has windows. The wind blew tonight, and the sky
was all kinds of weird colors, but there was no twister. I gues taht is good news.

Last night, I managed to clean the cats' litter pans and make macaroni and kidney bean salad with Mrs. Dash Chipotle Seasoning. My stomach bothered me, so I went to bed early. I realize I won't have to cook tomorrow night. Maybe I'll take the MARTA train up to Dunwoody or Lenox Square and look for a new pair of shoes. I also need to get some banking done.
