Greetings, darlings! I have finally recovered from jet lag just in time to fly off to Cannes. OkokokokOK, I made the part about Cannes up but DO feel free to write the powers-that-be at Eons and tell them lil’ ol’ Sher NEEDS to be sent thither and yon to get the scoop on the show biz buzz...

In the meantime, I will rely on spies and my own brand of Girl from U.N.C.L.E. kind of gossip sleuthing. In fact, just spotted all at one table in Cannes (no doubt LOOKING FOR MOI...), Mick Jagger, Angelina Jolie, Brad what’s his face, and Clint Eastwood (who has, I hear, directed yet another masterpiece, “The Changeling”).

Altogether now, sweeties, let’s send James Garner a group hug. He’s had a stroke but his prognosis is listed as “very positive” and he’s responsive. Wasn’t he THE most adorable ladies’ man/gambler to ever grace the boob tube as “Maverick”? They don’t make ‘em like that any more or if they do, send one my way.

From the romance ( and romance NOT) file: Jodie Foster has ended her 14-year relationship with film producer Cydney Bernard, just four months after Jodie came out openly about being gay. Well, duh, was there anyone in the country who didn’t know that? Anyhoo, Cydney is history for now.

Hmmmmm.... gay.... history.. what does that remind me of? Oh, yes, darlings, George Takei , best known as Mr. Sulu on “Star Trek”, and his long-time partner Brad Altman have announced they are going to be among the first same-sex couples to be married now that it is legal in California. He told a Brit paper he and Brad are now faced with the “delicious dilemma” of where to tie the proverbial matrimonial knot.

And didn’t I say Eons should send moi out to cover the show biz buzz ? Well , how about let’s start a drive to send me to see TINA TURNER IN CONCERT!! YEEEEESS! She’s coming out of retirement and touring first in the UK and then the U.S. If you have never seen her in person, RUN and get tix when they go on sale. She is simply the BEST!

So why is she back on the road? Not for the money, honey... frankly, I hear she so blew everyone away when she performed with Beyonce at the last Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the response was overwhelming. She showed Beyonce – and everyone else – how it’s done.. woo wooooooooo, we love you Tina!
