My posts are usually about technical issues on Eons. Today, however, I'm feeling sad about Chengdu. We visited Chengdu in 2006, spending a day with the Giant Pandas in the Breeding Research Center there. Here are some photos from that day. It's not like we made any life-long friends in Chengdu, but we did get a sense of what the people and place are like ...we made a connection, albeit a loose one. Now, when we see the photos of the devastation and the faces of the people who were trapped in the rubble, it feels like it hit close to home.
