The Eons group, Better Photography view link is hosting a Spring photo contest and ALL Eons members are invited to participate. Have you taken a photo of something that you consider proof that Spring has Sprung? We want to see them!.

will be the judge for this contest, and of course her decisions are final. Sue Bloom holds a BFA & MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and is Professor and Chair of the Department of Art and Art History at McDaniel College, in Maryland. She also leads workshops at the Maine Photographic Workshop & the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. Thank you Sue!

Eons has generously offered to donate a Grand Prize and two Runner Up prizes for each category. The Grand Prize in each category will be a Musical CD and some Eons swag! The Runners Up will each receive Eons Swag. Oh! Some of the Eons swags are, T-shirts, mugs, mouse pads and so on. So, get those cameras out and start snapping! Contest begins on Sunday May 11, 2008 and ends on Saturday May 24, 2008 at 11:59 pm EST. Feel free to post a short explanation about your photo id necessary, but members are requested NOT to leave comments about other members photos.

1. Photos will be posted in a two special threads located in the Better Photography group. Post your photo in either the ‘Beginner’ or ‘Amateur’ thread. view link
2. Theme "A Sure Sign of Spring".
3. One entry per person and the work must belong to the person entering the photo.
4. Photos must be taken this year.
5. Photos can be color or black & white.
6. Minimal photo enhancement is permitted ie. cropping, sharpening, etc.
7. A very brief explanation of the photo can be posted if desired.
8. The photos will not be eligible for comments
9. Contest will last two weeks to give all Eons members time to capture their very best photos.
10. Decisions of the judge will be final.
