I've been wasting, err, spending, a lot of time on youtube lately. Mostly, I've been looking for differwnt meditation and chanting videos but it's interesting to see what happens when you start clicking on the "related video" section of the page.
Last week, I started out with a nice example of the Gayatri Mantra and I somehow ended up with Madonna's Vogue. The other day, I started with another mantra and ended up with Faye Wong's "Eyes on Me". Faye Wong is a great Chinese singer who has a HUGE fanbase but it's primarily in Asia. She does cover versions of various songs which is a little disconcerting but interesting, nonetheless.
One genre of video I've only recently become familiar with is the video blog. I knew these existed but had sort of ignored them but last night I watched a few and found them to be quite compelling. I was watching videos by a couple of people in recovery for eating disorders and they were so open and honest, I couldn't stop watching.
I have no desire to do a video blog myself and I'll probably be over my fascination with them in a few days. But, until then, I just hope I get enough done at work to cover my youtube obsessed ways!
I <3 youtube!

Simlanna! If you like, we'd love to have you in the Feature My Video group. It seems you have a few specific kinds of videos that you enjoy and maybe [maaaybe] you'd like to share them with other Eons members.
Send me a PM if you're interested, or just join the group. Many people post funny videos and music videos but it sounds like you're finding some very inspirational ones.
Even if you're not interested, this was a great blog. a lot of people have no idea that these kinds of videos exist out there. OR that "related video"s can bring you to so many things you might never have even looked up otherwise.
Have a great day!
