Hi everyone!
We have just added 17 new animated widgets/graphics to our profile widget gallery and I simply could not contain myself any longer. I had to break my silence.
Want to see them? Go Here
[you do need to be logged in].
------------------
PS: They will show up in your "Widget" section of your profile. However, you can place them pretty much anywhere on the site if you're willing to take an extra [for now] few steps.
1. Add the widget to your profile.
2. then go to "edit" your widget section. when you do, you will see the widget with the code beside it.
3. Just copy that code and paste it wherever you'd like to place the graphic.
-----------------
And feel free to PM me with reactions, requests, etc.
Have fun!

I would prefer more adult widgets. Something practical like a calendar, clock, some flowers. The current widgets appear to be from the MySpace teenage group. Thanks, anyway.

Yes, a beautiful scenery, bouquet of flowers, a poem. Visit Google gadgets for some ideas. thanks.

Celmira, I didn't see your comments on my blog before I wrote to you. Thanks for them. I'm looking for this kind of advice. There are actually appears to be two camps when it comes to the whole widget thing on our site. Some people want the cute/colorful moving images. Since these are a bit easier to create in the short-term we have decided to add some just to gauge some reactions and see how many people like and use them. For now, these moving graphics just need to live in the widget gallery until we find a better place to put them.
I just hope that explains some of our reasoning.
Thanks again for your feedback.

I agree with the other comments; the new widgets are childish. Now, childlike would be an improvement. I'll wait for the next batch. Thank you for the work, though.
