Today I got Grammy Marilyn to switch babysitting days with me, so I could go to see Bill Clinton speak at the local High School. NEVER, has a former president visited my little burb!
Well, not to be out done, Marilyn agrees, but one ups me, takes the granbaby Logan with her to see Bill in Smithfield. Lucky thing that she is! She gets the text message, the first of the lucky three in the audience to go meet Bill in person! Gets a picure of she , Logan , and President Clinton!
Just as I'm gettting ready leave for his Roxboro visit, she calls; "Check your e-mail and call me back!"
I do, there is a picture of she, Logan, and President Clinton! Logan is wearing her pink hat, that she loves, and her sunglasses, ( thankfully this time the nose is not running!).
Not to be out done; while I'm putting on my lipstick, I have my son's girlriend Kelly print the picture; no time to crop, coloroze, just print and go. I'm determined! I will get the picture autographed! I manage to get it done, and shake his hand, over the crowd.
I love being a crazy grandma, particularly, when I have another crazy granny to be my cohort!

Hopefully, Marilyn and I can do for Logan, what our parents didn't, and her parents don't, have time to do, neither did I -- introduce her to civic envolvement and politics at an early age.
I met this man at the rally last night, standing in the crowd, who talked on forever about the first rally his father took him to when he was a child, and how excited he was. He has that same excitement today.
Of course, there were a lot more republicans in the audience than democrats, but I was so glad to see that so many people in our community took advantage of the chance to meet, and hear a former president.
