i love lemonette. She is a wise, charming 50+ woman who has attracted a huge following on youtube with a series of honest, down-to-earth and often funny video diary entries. She shoots them herself on location in her small southern town, often in her car.
Here is my favorite (I'm not alone, it's been viewed a half million times!) episode, in which she talks soulfully about her relationship with her husband and about the idea of "the perfect marriage":
Another favorite is the clever + reflective "Southernisms with Lemonette #1", in which she breaks down a couple of choice regionalisms while parked beside the banks of a stream:
One interesting thing about Lemonette is that many of her fanatically loyal subscribers are the typical younger youtube users, who have really found a figure they can relate to in this wise older woman. They compose video replies to her entries, to which she then sometimes replies (in video form), and on and on.
I never really viewed youtube as a true community until i discovered lemonette and her fans. Seems like Youtube is about more than just copyright violations and ghost riding videos after all :)

Yes, I agree with Lemonette. I've been married for 28 years to the same man and it isn't always easy. Forgiveness is a big part I agree. It's always easy to be judgemental so sometimes leaving your ego behind is very hard. I always think...what do I want more to be right or to have a marriage that works? It's an ongoing process...good luck! :)

I now all that she has said here is true. I didn't marry my wife because of love or sex. I married her because she was a good, fun, human being that I thought would be perfect to raise kids with. 28 years later I pat myself on the back, she was and is. BUT, what lemonette said is so very true. Both of us could have left many times but didn't because we liked each other. There were certainly other woman that I loved, and once or twice to the point of obsession, deeply. There were woman that were much more fun and perhaps somewhat better and more liberal in bed and yes I missed that. But, her goodness, loyality, and pleasant disposition always overroad the other. BTW, I know there are woman out there that feel the same way as I have. There is far more good things to ssay about keeping family units together than not.

I love her honesty. It's so nice to hear a woman talking about her husband so nice after such a long time spent together.
