I'm on Spring Island in S.C. and taking a class in pen and ink sketching (compliments of my daughter) This is the nicest group of people! I've had classes with them before - and you couldn't ask for nicer folks - Jennifer just drops me off at the Art Barn and some one always brings me home - We are going to mostly paint out doors (plein air) but spent today in the studio - practicing his technique. he is a wonderful oil painter and you can google his name and see the things that he does - he likes to start with ink washes though so that's what we are learning - and then he'll show us how to translate the ink wash into an oil painting or a finished water color. I'll write more later.
