I am writing here to see who is interested in the group I started about England. I really do not know how to promote a group. I started English Ex Pats and Anglophiles for anyone who is interested in England. English history, the country and its people. I would enjoy it if people who have traveled there would post stories of their trips, for those who would like to visit to be able to ask questions. Some people may do their genealogy, family tree and have questions that people may be able to answer for them. Its a good place to post pictures and articles about historical places. Castles, stately homes, parks and all the wonderful places there is to go. Cathedrals and museums and art galleries. So much to do and see, so many traditions.
So for this group I want it to be open to anyone with any interest at all in England and her people.

I am interested in your blog. I am a "southern" American Anglophile. I have visited England twice and am hoping to go again when I retire. The best trip was the one I took with a friend after we both finished our Master degrees. We spent three weeks traveling from London to Inverness, through to Wales and then on to Cornwall. It was a fantastic trip!! So many great adventures and sights. A few things always come to mind---we sat on the green by the Avon River and watched actors from the Shakespeare festival practice their sword fighting, in Inverness we got to take pictures of Loch Ness and heard bagpipes(it was a retired soldier in full Scottish attire playing standing on the side of the road, and we stayed at a great hotel in Penzance from where we explored the area, including picnics on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic.
