This was in my local paper today - but it applies wherever you live !
Here's a reason to plant a few more vegetables this year: Ozarks Harvesting Hope, part of the national Plant a Row for the Hungry Campaign, needs people to plant a little extra and take the harvest to their nearest food pantry. Those fresh fruits and vegetables will then be given to families who wouldn't otherwise be able to get them.
In Springfield, donations of firm, clean fruits and vegetables can be taken to Ozarks Food Harvest, 615 N. Glenstone Ave. Everyone else is urged to contact their nearest food pantry.
