well here it is morning. i live in nebraska. had some "WEATHER" last night. i think it was about 8:00? the clouds looked bad. had some severe weather warnings. at about 8:45 lost power.(i keep a flashlight by the basement stairs)my daughter called just before power went out to say listen to the radio it doesn't sound good.siren started ,i grabbed a few things.headed to a very dark basement!!!!!. the dogs weren't even sure they wanted to go down there. went down and sat on the bed. the dogs started barking .heard some one at the back door .it was my brother in law .he doesn't have a basement.(i felt a little better having someone there)we sat there a while .the batteries were dead in both of our radios. we decided to give up . he went home i went upstairs .sat in the chair.it blew and poured. about midnight we got power back.i did a few things and went to bed about 2:00 am.my daughter called me early this am to tell me a tornado touched down about 6 blocks from me . must not have been a very big one,enough to scare the h--- out of me.i live in a small town and have had a few calls to make sure i am ok. people have heard it took out the whole west side of our town.stories sure get built up. well i guess i almost wrote a book just to say how happy i am to not be in oz.no one injured . someone not so lucky in colorado. 1 death lots of injuries and damage.little cloudy today but is a new and great day. . donna daje
