Had an eerie experience at work this morning.
At 11:30 a.m. I realized that I was the only person in my office. Nine empty desks. I walked over to the next office area and found only one person out of seven. A third office and only one of five. A fourth office had only one of three.
"We missed the Rapture," I said, referring to that event when the "faithful" are taken up to heaven to escape the Final Judgment. "We've all been left behind."
I felt sad for a moment. And then my 25-year-old colleague Joey spoke up.
"That means there should be a lot of jewelry around here!"
Talk about putting a positive spin on things!

And... food! Gum, candy, cookies, fruit... all hidden in the draws of desks now empty! Leave it to the resident "foodie" to think of that.

I don't know who this "Joey" is, but he sounds like a smart young man with a keen understanding of many subjects. Kudos Joey. Kudos to that brilliant, quick-witted, and somewhat skewed form of thinking.

Everyone needs a "Joey" around to put a different spin on things at some time or another! Congratulations on having an aquaintance like him there or it may have been a very long day for you.
