Red cape colleen, my own little colleen
Dear Readers,
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY FROM THE PULPWOOD QUEEN!
I come from a long line of Irish descent including Murphy, Maloney, King and Kelsey and married a PATRICK! So wear a bit of the green or be pinched for sure!
First, here is some great news from two of our Pulpwood Queen authors, Suzanne Hudson and Joe Formicelli!
Hello all--
I hope you are all well and happy. I also hope you will help get the word out about a couple of things. First, ESPN is running a fantastic program on Sunday evening, March 16th at 8 pm (see the link below) and Monday evening, the 17th (part II).

Joe (Formichella, my "significant other") tells the story of a coach (Ben Jobe--he has quite a story!) featured in the ESPN film--see this link:

Next up is news from Pulpwood Queen Brownie Shott. Yes, that is her real name and come rain or shine Brownie is here for Girlfriend Weekend. Brownie is a woman who has a son who ongoing medical issues and I want all of us to pray for Brownie and her son, Taylor. See her letter below.
Hello all and please accept my apologies for group email, but it’s the only way to easily reach all of you who follow my little boy’s progress. It’s been wonderful to have such great support from so many wonderful friends, family and colleagues. We leave today for San Antonio for an unexpected back surgery. It appears that one of his titanium rods has migrated off of the top rib and is threatening to poke through his shoulder area. So, they’re going in to re-attach it. Hopefully, we’ll only be there a few days, but surgery is never fun…probably worse for Mom than Taylor! So, keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I’ll post again when surgery is over and we have more information. If others of you are unfamiliar with my son and his disabilities (CHARGE Syndrome), you can visit the national foundation website (www.chargesyndrome.org) and learn more. There is a great video on the homepage that has Taylor featured in it. He’s a star and such a trooper! Thanks for all your support!
