This is a photo of Roxie (on the left) and Max. Roxie was rescued as a tiny puppy and was very ill. Max was living in a goat pen in Fairdale, KY. He was hated and abused by his owners who were very happy to sell him. I call these dogs my replacement children. My sister said she never thought she would see the day when she and I would be doting on our animals.
