My random thought of the day:
I am baffled by the fact that whether I am with my husband, a family member, a friend, a casual acquaintance, a large group or just one other person, restaurant servers present the bill to ME. Why is that?
The only exception is if my table companion has credit card or cash clearly visible in an outstretched hand before the check is placed, and sometimes even that doesn't do it. I feel like I must have an invisible "Check, please" sign on my forehead that illuminates when the bill arrives!
