TO THE MEN OF EONS

Yeah, if you hiding your face, you must have something more to hide. That's the way I see it.. Either you are ugly, worthless or something. So, do the right thing and send us a complete profile when you be trying to pick us up!

I don't know why the hater level is running so high. Believe it or not there just may be a few men who like myself just don't have the computer savy to post pic, or just don't have the type of pic needed to post one. Get off your high horse, that's not nice. Try some open-mindness, those without a pic may have very good reasons as to why they don't. Why not offer some info on helping them, rather then trying to be a hater toward them. Just thought this view point should be said and with that.......Peace, Love, Music and Light.

I am not being a hater. I am being a "lover".....of MYSELF! I don't have problems with GENTLEMEN emailing me, picture or no picture. I'm not that superficial. However, do not email with overtly sexual advances or telling me how pretty I am, asking if we can "get closer". I am not a 13 year old child who may be gullible to the foils of internet predators. Respect is respect. I do not appreciate being treated like some lonely, pitiful woman who is so desperate that I would communicate with a "stranger" on any level. If you don't have a picture, then write something about yourself so that you are not just coming onto a woman like a ghost. For your information, I DO offer help to GENTLEMEN who approach me with respect, stating that they are not savvy enough to upload a photo. But how much sense does it take for a grown man to write about himself or fill out the "user friendly" info fields created by Eons. I'm not hating - I'm just being real. If a man can't deal with a woman like me, then step off. Since the death of my husband 10 years ago, I may be alone, but I am not LONELY!

I'm just asking that men keep it real. When we ladies are getting inappropriate messages and pictures of men's genitalia on a site which is allegedly for GROWN PEOPLE, we have a right and a duty to protect ourselves. You need to be checking your brothers who are disrepectful towards us, instead of trying to check ME. You have no idea what we go through. We came here because we thought that this would be a "safer haven" than a site like MySpace which caters towards youngsters, some of whom just don't have any home-training or due to the societal mores think that it is alright to hit on women sexually over the internet.

At 50, you should know how to treat women and you should know how to file out a Profile page. That doesn't take rocket science. And, if you want to "holla a sista", you need to find someone in your home or neighborhood or church or job or state to help you put a photo on a website. Again, not rocket science. I learned how - why can't you? I raised my children. School is out here. I have no duty to teach anyone anything when it is so easy to get information these days. You had sense enough to log on to this site. Then have sense enough to continue the process instead of making your priority hitting on women.

This is not directed at you, but to all men who take it upon themselves to send us unsavory emails. Just get it together before you do so. Or leave us alone.

However, I fear the "cult of beauty" which infects this culture tends to diminish true beauty which has little to do with how one looks. Just one man's opinion.
