My daughter said yes today. To her boyfriend of a few days shy of one year. He was a Godsend to her, I am convinced. He was prayed for since Liz was a child. She wanted a Christian man, a man taller than she is, a man who can make her laugh, who is strong but flexible, who loves children, who will love her for the rest of her life. Shelby is all that and more. She is truly blessed and so is he. She will make a perfect helpmeet for him. She is smart, strong, and beautiful. She is a Christian woman, educated, no nonsense but oh so much fun, witty and wonderful. She has been the perfect daughter. And I am so looking forward to this next chapter in our lives.
But I sure do miss the little pigtailed kindergartner that is trying so hard to learn to skip.
