Daydreamin posted a video about technology moving forward... it's hilarious... and soooo timely as we change over to the new version of Eons.
My biggest message to you is to just jump into it—the best way to learn something new is to just do it. (Did we boomers ever read the instruction manuals? I think not!) You've been asking for lots of features and functions over the last year. Well, here they come (not all of 'em, but many). Where to start? Here are some hints:
1. Nav menu drop downs Hold your cursor over each of the main nav (navigation) menu items (my eons, profile, explore, groups, people, games). You'll see drop down menus you can get to directly, giving you easier, faster navigation. Click around—you won't get lost!
2. Secondary nav menus Click one of the featured Groups on the home page, then check out the new Groups nav menu (e.g., GroupName » Home, Members, Messages, Photos, Files, Announcements, Preferences). Isn't it great to be able to jump from one place in the Group to another with a single click? Try out the secondary nav menu in Profiles, too. Click around—you won't break it!
3. Explore "explore" Check out these interesting "explore" spots: BOOMs, Photos, Videos, LifePath, Blogs, Longevity Calculator, Fun, Member Spotlight, Campaign Central. Click on "Fun." Did you even know we have all this stuff about Movies, Television, Books, Music, Dining Out, etc.? Click around—you'll have more fun than ever on Eons.
Don't be afraid. Jump in and get clicking. It's the very best way to discover all the great changes we've made. But one thing hasn't changed—you are still the heart and soul of the site—we've just made it easier for you to connect with others, find what you're looking for, speak your mind and have fun.
The site's just shouting out to you, "Click me!" You won't believe how quickly you'll "get it," when you do!
Boom boom boom ~suzy
Click me... Don't be afraid... Click me!

What happened to "the morning of February 26th"?
On an entirely different note, there are so many "bikers" and "biker babes" on Eons, why not offer a "gift" that is a motorcycle?

Congratulations. Go Forward and We will Enjoy. I love the new version; it is so user friendly and believe me I have been singing it's praises all over the World. Good Luck and "May the Force Be With You Guys". Thanks for all your hard work.

I am having quite a few problems in setting up my profile background and little pictures on the profile pages. I have asked EONS for assistance but I never get an answer. You always say hey go here to this group site and ask for help. I do but I am not that computer illerate and I need a book called How to make changes using HTML for Dummies. All I want is for someone to tell me step by step. And for someone to please go step by step in the process. If I make a bo bo then show me how to correct it.

Hi, kaybaxter,
You might want to try the little check boxes in the "Edit my skin" link on your Profile. They take away the Eons design, so your design shows thru.

As they said in the comedy movie 'Airplane' ... "Good luck, we're all counting on you!"

I like it a lot (the Beta version) and have been using it every since it first became available. It looks so much more polished and is very easy to use. My compliments on the communication and preparation that went into launching this change!

So far, the Beta doesn't seem to mesh with my mac computer or maybe it's the browser. Eons logos block information.
I'm not sure why, but I find this new version very hard on my eyes. Like many over 50, I can't handle glare. I've been looking for a reason to reduce online time.
I'm sure eventually they'll work the bugs out.

Page layout is completely messed up under Firefox, though it looks fine under Internet Explorer. Not cool. I'm not planning to change browsers to use Eons.

I have a Mac and so far no problems. Using OS X 10.4.11 and Safari. Like the new look but want the missing TOPICs that used to be in the lost BUTTONs. Where are LOVE, BODY, and MONEY, with all the great subtopics under each? Can only find FUN in EXPLORE.
I'm a long time computer user so no problem "Clicking" and searching for the hidden "Gems" - before retiring was in Product Support. Please add these missing BUTTON Topics to EXPLORE as you did with FUN. There were many helpful articles/lnks that were easy to find and share. Not everything in life is fun, and we could all use some positive pointers on this Journey to make it more enjoyable. /;)
Thanks for this article - good info for those who are not aware of the ease of this newest EONs version. Keep them coming. And again requesting the return of the BUTTON Topics.
