I spent a week in Egypt with my sister recently and it was fantastic! We spent 2 days in Cairo and saw the Egyptian Museum, rode camels for 3 hours while we looked at the pyramids at Giza, then saw the Sakkara pyramid and Ramses II museum at Memphis. Other than getting hassled every 5 feet by shopkeepers and taking our lives in our hands trying to cross the streets, walking around Cairo was fun and interesting. The rest of the week was spent relaxing and snorkeling at a resort in Sharm El Sheikk. The weather was wonderful, the Red Sea was warm, and the snorkeling was great! The food was also wonderful and I ate way too much. I had two marriage proposals in one day - seems Egyptian men really like Americans, for some reason. The younger man offered my sister 20 camels for me. :) What fun we had! Can't wait to go back!
