Anjushree goes to school daily, just took the day off to visit us, as did her dad. Anjushree rides a cycle van to school. This is on our way to her school.

In the cab, I told Anjushree that I was scared to come to India and the only reason I was willing to do it was if I got to visit Anjushree. The rep and social worker told her with happiness, "Don't you feel honored?" Anjushree beamed.

Directly in front of me is the Junior High School. The principal came out to very much try to convince us to sit in his office and visit. Our rep had sent the local social worker to the left, to Anjushree's elementary school, to talk to the principal about our visit and our wanting to pass out kaleidoscopes. The junior High School principal was very insistent, and our rep just as insistent about doing what we want to do. LOL.

Anjushree was disappointed to have missed school, of course happy to see us, and thrilled we were going to her class to pass out the kaleidoscopes. You can see her in orange at bottom right talking to her friends excitedly as we arrived. Btw, Anjushree would have rather been wearing jeans that day lol.

Turned out we had plenty of kaleidoscopes and were able to go to all 4 classrooms on that level. Each classroom was excited and hopeful we'd be coming to their classroom next.

We presented an English ABC book to the principal for their library inscribed, "In Honor of Anjushree because she inspired my trip to India. Cheryl Miller ". The principal and the teachers over her shoulder perused the book intently and happily.

I didn't realize that as I left, a class was leaving for lunch, and then all 4 classes mobbed Mark to touch his hand. He very very quickly touched all students' hands, and closely followed behind me, where I'd gone down the stairs, and was greeted by a group wanting to shake my hand. A few carefully said thank you, and I carefully said you're welcome. The rest just wanted to shake hands.
