Since the other morning when I woke up and found that the earth had begun its reverse rotation, or so it seemed, because "Planet Eons" had made a change, which sent everyone into panic mode and scurrying like so many blind mice for some semblance of normalcy. I am still here! The sky has not fallen, nor has life ceased to exist as I knew it beforehand. I'm not standing in judgement of those who left, it is not my place or my intent. Throughout time panic has been the destroyer of civility and order. News of the lifting of the age restriction brought panic and rumors to the forefront, causing many to "bug out" in hasty retreat, enmass and fearful of an invasion by those most "dangerous of enemies" our children and grandchildren! Now, looking out from the stronghold I fortified to defend myself in, I am wondering when the onslaught occurred. Did I miss it? Were there prisoners taken? Old folks turned into refugees? No, Nothing happened! The great crush of youth invading to wreak havoc withthe defensless old people did'nt happen. Eons is still here, still functioning and in existance! Those who folded up their camps and left for "higher ground" did so foolishly. I remember the generation that produced us. During the protests and anarchy of the 60s, as uncomfortable as those people must have been, they did'nt run away, fearful of the youth that were taking over everything they were accustomed to. I remember being a young soldier, despised by my peers and welcomed home by old men. Are we so different now? A very wise friend here on Eons told me in a p.m." If we do'nt teach the young our history, how will they learn it and from who?" That friend was right! We are the past and the present. We have this moment in time to pass on the wisdom of lives lived. Each of us has a story waiting to be told. All it needs is a willing listener, someone who desires to know what we have learned. Someone reaching for the stars that needs to carry the dreams forward that we once dreamed in the blush of youth! Is there one of us, who at one time, did'nt believe passionately that we could ,by sheer numbers effect change in the world? Now that the fury has past, maybe those of us who remained behind should remember the glory days of our youth and trust this generation to inherit the wind from us and carry the banner as we did from those before us! Let's trust them to give us respect, and give them a little of the same!

Hi, I have had mixed feelings about the changes, and initially was very against it, mainly because of liability issues and so thrilled to have a site where folks of my own age and experience were here and could relate. I really have been thinking about the friends I have made here, and now it is those friendships that will keep me here. I hope we can all move past this, and get back to our groups and friends. I will follow the Serenity Prayer: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference"! I appreciate your thoughts and words of wisdom. I am glad to be your friend. Blessing to you and all of eons. LL

How true for if we are turefull to our selfs, we shaoud have nothing to fear or hide. What if younger folks do come on line, shall it make us run and hide? have we not been around the young folks before in real life? Will this stop us from being friends with others we now know on this sight? I for one love to tell the storys to those who like to hear them. What shall we be remembered by what we have done in our lives are what we may have told the young people of as we have lived and learned of things they will never go throught in there lives. How can you pass on part of your self to others hear so that many years from now they will say "have you ever heard of so and so they told me that in there life they had done this or that". Oh dont lose what we have to pass on to others.

• • Hi, honey. When it comes to Valentine's Day, I'm an "early responder"!
• • I'm glad you are not caught up in the chipmunk wheel spinning out-of-control only in some people's minds. FEAR is contagious!
• • You, sweetheart, are FEARLESS.
:-D

Nice blog, Buddy. I didn't fear the children. Some of the adults were far scarier than the young people. Be that as it may, I prefer an all adult community. I applaud those who followed their hearts and stayed put with EONS. You are a good man, bearpaw56, and most importantly, you are my Friend. KulBreeze

Thank you for your words of reason. Unfortunately, reason does not always prevail in times of change. I'm relieved that "the fury has passed" as you so eloquently stated...now we can get back to enjoying one another.
