Three weeks ago, I had to put down my beloved 15 yr old black pug. Even though it was "time", I can't seem to let go. I have another pug, but there seems to be a huge black hole where Zeus used to be.
Yeah its rough to have a pet put down..prob all of us in Eons has had that tragedy at least once or twice..very painful..I tho have found a cure to that by adopting another pet..his name is Rocky, I named him that because he is a pet rock :)..he dont ask for much..very quiet..never a vet bill..or always wanting attention..super cheap to feed..prob outlive me..or if he does pass on b4 me..I prob wont notice..so to me..its a win win situation..and I dont hear Rocky complaining either :)
I am worried about my prescious pet, and fear her day is coming sooner than I had hoped. Memories of putting my last pet to sleep are haunting me, but I know that easing their pain and letting them go before they suffer alot is the best thing we can do for them - that and give them a wonderful life. Hang on to that - you gave Zeus love, comfort and companionship - and he retunred it to you. He had a happy life with you - that is forever!
