Well, besides at seniorcity.com...I'm now living in a house close to the beach, so close I can hear the surf and the sea lions. It's a great place that used to be a trailer park years ago, and the people that camped here liked it so much they just started staying. Some of the trailers have been incorporated into houses, and it's the neatest thing I've ever seen!
Once I can find my USB cable for my camera I'll post some photos of some of the neat places here, they are so funky and cute!
I was sitting outside on the little covered cement porch just a few minutes ago, listening to the sounds of the night. I can hear voices, both Spanish and English, as it's Friday night and the bar next door is jumping. Not much noise from there gets up here, but the residents are celebrating the weekend. Happy sounds are in the "camp."
This house is a remodeled section of a much bigger house that was divided into 4 units. Since I have a housemate and two cats, this affords plenty of room for all and I love my sleeping space, which is kind of like a captain's bed. It's cozy and quiet and I feel so good here.
As I sat outside tonight, I thought of how it was in the U.S. where people don't want ANY noise in their sphere. Here it's noisy all the time, but not outlandishly so. It is just so relaxed here! It's easy to just drift and lose one's sense of purpose amongst the palm trees. Fortunately, I've always been a purposeful person, and the sounds here are different from back home...I can't quite describe it, but they are more...joyful. Not obnoxious. Not screaming and fighting and guns and stuff like that. They are happy sounds of a small community in this camp of about 90 homes in all stages of primitive to quite elegant.
I like it here a lot. I'm glad, though, that I spent my first 3 and a half years here living amongst the locals. It has afforded me many more Mexican friends, and the ability to learn Spanish. I'm loving it!

I'm so glad you're settled in and happy in your new home. It's time you had some peace and comfort. There's nothing like being snuggled into your own little world, is there.
Namaste, dear friend.
