Pink Grandma would plan Tea parties for us. I'm sure with legged teacups and four girl there was plenty of tea spilled but she never seemed to mind. She would laugh and prepare another cup. To go with the tea were pink coconut cover snowballs. I never liked them but they went with the tea so I ate mine anyway.
Because the tea parties were special we would dress up in our Sunday best to attend. Our mothers made our dresses to match with sashes and ruffles. I remember one set of dresses was navy blue with white polka dots and satin sashes.
I still have my cup and it sits on the shelf where I can see it every day. It reminds me of innocent times. But now I drink my Green tea without sugar or milk.
