2008 wow I haven’t gotten over 2006 yet…it’s a new year, resolutions, new beginnings, good thoughts. I am not going to resolve to do anything different than I did last year, I was satisfied with the way I went.
Defaulted loans, bad housing loans, falling stock market, high gas prices, and the first month of the new year isn't over yet....you don’t suppose we are now reaping what we have been sowing the last few years.
There is nothing prejudice or inhumane about standing firm on our own beliefs and keeping the backbone and infrastructure of Our Country, the USA, intact. Our leaders should be ashamed of the predicament we are all in! We, the voters are little fish in a big sea of greed, and not much we can do about it – it takes leadership, determination, innovation, BACKBONE and perseverance within our government. Did I say backbone?
How many companies would stay afloat if they just hired anyone? Allowed anyone to waltz right into their company, privy to company secrets, enjoying all the benefits of qualified employees? If with these new employees came lower standards, tolerance, hand outs, CHANGING THE LANGUAGE, taking down their founding logos, giving everyone their little pod or branch of separated beliefs, constantly changed policies to please each one, qualified or not. Well, the company would go out of business!! It would be so busy going in so many directions, it would eventually become defunct! That’s pretty much what our country has done – opened the doors to anyone, and conformed to their ways totally ignoring the well being of the people who have worked so damn hard to TRY and maintain this country as the best place in the world to live!
This entire society has been “dumb downed”!! I’m so sick of it all, the politics! The blind eye we all end up turning because as individuals we each have to be so busy being those HARD WORKING CITIZENS who demonstrate leadership, determination, have a backbone and persevere day to day within our own lives, most times just to eek out a living, but, are continuously undermined by our own government. I am 61, retired and pay a large sum a month for inadequate health insurance for myself. No dental, high deductibles but I have to have it. I could work my butt off to pay it probably making myself more stressed and sick in the process, while a non-working, uninsured illegal immigrant can have a need for medical care, and not be denied?? What is wrong with this picture? It happens in hospitals all the time, where hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on patients, they later find out are illegal immigrants! I’m talking those dollar amounts being spent on ONE individual, now multiply that.
Now it’s real easy to see why my rates are so high isn’t it? And yours too! This just should not be happening! This is only one small example of how we are being bled to death to support what our government has allowed to happen. Press 1 for English...press 2 to kiss my ass! It’s just insane! Even if you happen to make a better salary than most, or are better off you are also affected – you just may not notice it yet, or feel the effects of it quite as severely as some folks! But I truly believe, at the pace it’s going, even the wealthy will have a very rude awakening. Oh, I haven’t even scraped the surface here, and how outraged I am the direction our Country has gone and more importantly where it is headed if we don’t change the path we are on. But what do we do? All I can suggest is educate ourselves on the candidates and get out and vote, on all levels, at all times!
Until next time
