I went out early this morning while still a little dark to do some cross country skiing. what a beautiful start to the day. the air was pristine and the snow was fresh and clean. i love that time of the day as i get to see some of nature's best. a couple of deer, a porcupine waddling along, an owl getting in some last minute hunting before day breaks. then daybreak as the sun gloriously peeks over the mountains creating a heavenly beautiful colored sky. Made me wish i had brought my camera. I was the first out on the new snow today breaking trail and working up a quick sweat to where i had to shed a layer. finally as the sun rose i headed back to the start and put an end to another beautiful morning.
