Disclaimer: The following analogy attempts to give new perspective to the situation at hand by re-casting it as a real-world scenario. Imagination may be required!
Accept | Get me the heck outta here!

The active Eons members of today are like the first settlers in a large city that's being developed. Imagine that you and I are the developers. We know we need to sell a lot of homes (the survival of the city depends on it! - not to mention our careers) and, thanks to our advertising efforts, there are hundreds or thousands of potential buyers touring the community at any given time. The community has a lot of variation in its neighborhoods. We try to guide our visitors to the neighborhoods that most people find appealing. There are some neighborhoods where people like to scream and fight. (They have even been known to throw rocks at strangers who don't show them enough respect.) There are others where they run around naked and make lewd comments. The people who live in these neighborhoods seem to like it there. The problem is that sex and violence - although exciting - can be off-putting to a significant portion of the population. The typical home buyer isn't looking for that kind of excitement. They simply want a place where they feel safe and in control. That's why we routinely warn people about the "more colorful" neighborhoods. If newcomers are curious - and are willing to accept the risk and responsibility, we'll happily let them explore every cul de sac and climb every tower. We want everyone to find the home they're looking for!

Okay, end of analogy. Was that at all helpful?
