I'm wondering if there are any people out there to connect with. I know this is a new web site but I can't seem to find anyone else on it! It can't be that new.. Does anyone want to talk about the state of the world (frightening and pretty awful), what you have been reading, what you do for fun? I would love to share ideas ande experiences with some one on line

Hi, you just joined the bookclub, Bookoholics, I'm Barb. Like you, I'm wondering how this will all work out, or if it will... are there going to be msg boards? You mentioned that you'd started a book club, I'll try and find it....

My daughter lives in Lowell, MA, she's a vet there... she loves the area...

Hey, I share some of your interests but am far away in Athens, Ga. It is a University town and that makes for lots of interesting places to shop and a fairly open community. I do not have a garden but shop at my LocallyGrown Organic co-Op each week and love fresh veggies. I have always been conscious of what I eat & how I live and how this relates to the rest of the world. I have recently REdiscovered pressure cooking. I have a new modern machine and it is a marvel for the beans/barley/legume dishes I love so much! Brown Rice in 15 minutes! Gotta be heaven right?

Hello, I love communicating also and would love to be able to get together with the group members, at some point in time, to chat. I wish there was some way we could figure out how to do that. I know that on another site I'm a member of a chat room is provided, for the members to get together if they wish. I wonder if anything can be done like that here? Let me know your thoughts.

We have already bumped into each other here and there. Been reading your comments and enjoying them! I think it will just take a little time for this site to take off, but sure seems like some nice folks, so far. :) Like your picture with the blue sky and white clouds behind you--nice! I'm in Anchorage, Alaska. Until yesterday I hadn't found anyone else's blog and would love to communicate. In the summer I walk with a hiking group and in the winter I get up early to walk before going to work. I'm an elementary teacher, but will retire at the end of this school year. I'm thinking a lot of what I want to be doing with my time after that.
