The past few weeks have been busy. The new job is everything I hoped it would be and more. I work with a great team of professionals and feel respected for my contributions how ever humble they may be when compared to the work my coworkers do.

I am still in the "waiting for the other shoe to drop" mentality. Generally, after a few weeks on a new job, I have discovered the "dark side" of paradise but in this case, it just hasn't happened. There are no over-ambitious coworkers that wouldn't think twice about climbing their way to the top at my expense. There are no Jekyll and Hyde bosses that one day will praise you and the next make you a scapegoat for their shortcomings.

In addition to the absence of negative energy at work, I have discovered that I am capable of far more than I thought I was. In the space of two weeks, I worked with a colleague to produce a national training package going out to over 150 locations. At the same time, I conducted a literature review and assembled the research sources to create a presentation that I will give next month before a group of professionals in Georgia. The presentation has since been vetted through our higher headquarters and approved with very minor stylistic changes!

On the personal side of life, there has not been many changes and I'll save those for another post.
