This is not a good start , but any start is better than none. I am really pleased to find a site with lots of white space at last!
But to reiterate a few points I posted in another blog. I am a bit dubious about some of the set up and practices I have already encountered on the site. The biggest being no spell checker or edit buttons for posts. I am a notoriously bad typist.
All sites such as these are run on a commercial basis and one becomes very jaded and suspicious when there appears to be no way to submit sites for review but there is a clearly displayed advertsing link on every page.
In addition the site is founded by a 45 year old but he would be ineligible to register to enter the site if he followed his own rules - how about ab it of commonsense prevailing.
Yes it is good to have a place where peole have certain goals and likes and dislikes based on being in the same age bracket but when tht information gathered to enter the site is amied at proving to advertisers that the site can market to generation baby boomer - and we have x number of registered users in this age group in x zip code area or state - I small a marketing rat.
I don't know about every one else but I get heartily sick of being seen as nothing more than marketing category.
Heartily sick of being labelled and categorised as a "consumer" not a person.
