Finished up the Middle East Sojourn in Dahab, Egypt with a couple of days of horseback riding and snorkeling at the famous Blue Hole coral reef. Very laid back place on the Sea of Aqaba, which is an extension of the Red Sea. Passed by Mt. Sinai and crossed the Sinai Desert on a ten hour bus ride to Cairo where I took in the Nile from the Hard Rock Cafe and had a good old fashioned hamburger and chocolate shake.
Then caught a red-eye to Athens, Greece and have been relaxing under the changing skies as it is bright one moment and rainy the next.
Looking forward to seeing the Greek antiquities that I have heard and read about for a lifetime tomorrow.
Christine will join me in a couple of days to finish off the trip with a couple of weeks ferrying between four Greek Isles: Santorini, Naxos, Paros and Mykonos.
