THE PRESENT — GOD’S GIFT

As each day dawns so freshly new,
God surely will renew you, too.
Through His word, He will lift you up,
He promises, with Jesus you’ll sup.
Rejoice and delight in His word,
Always by Him you are adored.
He is your refuge, shield and stay,
His word, a flashlight, lights your way.
His word your only source of hope,
A positive way to live — and cope.
Your mind and heart, always at peace,
Promises from His word won’t cease.
Yesterday’s past, except memories,
Tomorrow’s not here for you to seize.
Today is the day He has lent...
His gift to you is the PRESENT.
